PenClub is the door through which The Peninsula receives the guests of its preferred advisors, and Dip Needle holds a key to it. A PenClub stay begins with breakfast for two each morning and a room upgrade settled at the time of booking rather than hoped for at the desk; VIP recognition means the house has your name from us and knows what it is for. Peninsula Time is the hotel’s own term for letting arrival and departure follow your flights rather than the clock, and it is agreed with the house before you travel. The category, the outlook and the way your party will use the rooms are weighed with particular care before the stay, its privileges and its rate are set down in one proposal.
Privileges apply to eligible bookings and vary by hotel and rate; upgrades and check-in and check-out times are subject to availability.

04Behind the programme
The Peninsula Hotels
A Peninsula is recognisable before the door has opened: the hotel has decided, long in advance, how every hour of a guest’s stay should feel, and has rehearsed it. The Peninsula Hong Kong on Salisbury Road is the original, where afternoon tea in The Lobby is an occasion in its own right, Gaddi’s keeps the French table and Spring Moon the Cantonese one, and the harbour fills the upper windows at dusk. The Peninsula Paris on Avenue Kléber, close to the Arc de Triomphe, runs the same idea from the spa and its 20-metre pool below the street to L’Oiseau Blanc on the roof.
There are 12 Peninsula hotels and every one keeps the discipline: Shanghai on the Bund, Beijing, Tokyo, New York, Chicago, Beverly Hills, London, Istanbul on the Bosphorus, Bangkok on the Chao Phraya and Manila. The signature is not the columns but the sense, in the room, that someone has already thought about how you would like to leave.

On your approval the reservation is placed through PenClub, with the upgrade arranged at booking and your timings, preferences and occasion sent ahead. A Peninsula begins preparing for a guest well before the guest has packed.
