Destined is IHG’s programme for luxury travel advisors, and through it a Dip Needle guest is received as a preferred one at Regent, Six Senses, InterContinental and Kimpton hotels alike. Breakfast for two arrives each morning, a hotel credit waits for the beach club or the spa, and VIP recognition follows you from one house to the next. That last privilege earns its keep on a trip with several stops, when a harbour room in Kowloon, a balcony on the Croisette and a villa over a Laamu lagoon must hand over to one another gracefully. The sequence gets the same care as each stay: transfers, timings and rooms set so that the route reads as one journey rather than three reservations.

Privileges apply to eligible bookings and vary by hotel and rate; upgrades and check-in and check-out times are subject to availability.

04Behind the programme

IHG Hotels & Resorts

IHG keeps its finest houses under one roof, and Destined is the door to them: Regent, Six Senses, InterContinental and Kimpton, four ideas of a hotel with one house behind them. Regent Hong Kong stands on the Kowloon waterfront with Victoria Harbour filling the windows and Chi Wing Lo’s interiors answering the spectacle with calm. Carlton Cannes, a Regent Hotel, faces the Croisette with a beach club before it, a garden pool behind and every reason to dress for dinner. Six Senses Laamu, reached by seaplane from Malé, sets beach and overwater villas around a lagoon and keeps a marine centre of its own.

Regent Phu Quoc, Regent Porto Montenegro, InterContinental Danang, Kimpton Seafire on Seven Mile Beach and InterContinental Sydney complete our selection. Together they let a journey be composed in movements: a harbour landmark, then a coast, then a lagoon, with one standard of welcome carried from house to house so that the sequence feels arranged rather than assembled.

Sketch the route
Tell us where the route runs, when, and what each stop is for: the city seen from a harbour room, the coast taken slowly, the lagoon at the end. Several stops are welcome.

The route, in one proposal
We compare the participating hotels and the rooms worth having at each, then set every stay, its rate and its privileges in a single written proposal, so the route is judged as a whole rather than stop by stop.

Reserved in sequence
With your approval each reservation is placed through Destined and carries the same brief: who is arriving, what the occasion is, when the seaplane or the train gets in. Every house on the route is told.

Move between addresses
Confirmations and arrival arrangements reach you before departure. Between addresses we set the timing, so the final evening in Cannes belongs to the Croisette and not to the airport timetable.
