Good travel is arranged, not booked.
A room can be booked from anywhere. A welcome cannot: recognition at the door and the privileges of a preferred guest are arranged beforehand, by people the hotel already knows.
The right address is a matter of fit, not rank. The finest hotel in a city is not always the right one for the reason you are going, and a harbour view is wasted on the traveller who came for the old town.
Nothing is left to the day itself. The addresses chosen for you, the reason for each and what they include are written down first, and nothing goes ahead until the proposal reads exactly as you want it.
